Robert Oas

age 95 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2017. Bob was born in Red Wing, Minnesota on June 14, 1922.  He grew up in Minneapolis and spent summers with his Grandparents in Red Wing.  He married Patricia Lilledahl in 1945 and they had three children; Greg, Pam, and Jon.

Bob and Patricia built a home and lived in Mendota Heights. Later they moved to White Bear Lake and then to Duluth, where Bob went into the marina business in the Duluth harbor in 1959.  After a few years, he sold his interests in the marina and went to work for the City of Duluth as a traffic technician, where he worked for 21 years until his retirement.

Bob and Patricia moved into their new retirement home in Lake Havasu City, AZ, choosing it because of the beautiful lake there. He had passion for boating and always had a boat or two.  He had a wide variety of interests and hobbies including woodworking, woodcarving, stained glass, and motorcycling.

In his retirement, Bob continued to work at jobs he enjoyed like shuttling rental cars and volunteering at the nursing care center. He loved to help people and always had a smile on his face.

Bob and Pat loved to visit new places and they traveled extensively by planes, trains, cars, cruise ships, and motorhomes.  A highlight for Bob was their trip around the world in 1991.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years, Patricia. Also survived by sons Greg and Jon (Cathy), daughter Pam (Larry) Huwe, 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends.
