Delores “Auntie” Catherine McCann born June 7, 1933 to Burdette and Louise Worden in St. Paul, MN. Passed away quietly on December 2, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. McCann, her brothers Delbert Worden (Chicago) and Kenneth Worden (White Bear Lake) as well as her sister Dorothy Ziegler (St. Paul). She is also survived by her sister Audrey (Florida), 2 step-sons and their families and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to raising her own 3 children she also helped care for countless other children in her 25+ years as a child care provider.

Delores grew-up and lived in St. Paul for most of her life. She had a passion for live theater and traveling. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and laughing, eating and drinking together.

The third child of five, she was especially close to her brother Kenny while growing up and later in life her sister Dorothy. She also enjoyed the time spent with her oldest brother, Del, whom she only saw occasionally throughout the year as he lived in the Chicago area.

Delores suffered from dementia the last nine years of her life and lived most of those years at Woodlyn Heights Skilled Nursing Facility. Her last 11 months were spent in a wonderful memory care unit at the Woodbury Health Care Center where she was loved my many of the staff who care for her.

She will be missed by many as she touched so many lives over her 84 years.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 8th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and a memorial service will take place at noon at Willwersheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul. A private interment will be held by the family at a later date.
