 Albert Frank Imbrone, Sr.

Age 96. Passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018. Proceeded in death by parents, Paul and Anna, sister Lena Sonia (Frank), brother George, brother in-law Eli Tarziu, infant grandsons Dominic Paul and Patrick John McKeown.  Survived by loving wife of 64 years, Libuse Rybnicek Imbrone (Libby), daughter Anita (John) McKeown, Diane Bell, sons Paul, Peter (Jill) and Albert Jr., grandchildren Natalie Bell (David Georgi), Katherine and Allyson Imbrone, Paul Bell, great grandson Austin Imbrone, sister Flora Tarziu, nieces and nephews. Served honorably while on active duty with the US Navy during WWII (1942-1946) in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.  Served in the Active Navy Reserve from 1946-1979. Retired from the US Postal Service in 1980. Served as Commander of George Grui, American Legion Post 572, Member of the Knights of Columbus and longtime member of the Navy Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) and the Navy Enlisted Reserve Association (NERA). Fiercely devoted to God, Country and Family.  We will miss your jokes, your sense of humor and “Never Give Up the Ship” spirit.  Fair winds and following seas, Chief. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM Thursday, January 11 at the Church of Maternity of Mary, 1414 N. Dale Street, Saint Paul. Visitation at church 1 hour before the Mass. Interment with Military Honors, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
