Andrew Peter Kolar December 16, 1983 - May 2, 2018

born December 16th, 1983, passed away on May 2nd after a courageous and valiant struggle with cancer. Survived by parents, Jim and Anne Kolar; siblings, Andrea Wudyka (Wayne), Joshua, (Laura), Dan (Clare), Christina (fiancé, Steve Hatton); and nieces and nephews, Wayne, James, Veronica, Gideon, Amos, Jack, Shiloh, and Eli. Graduate of St. Agnes High School, University of St. Thomas, and University of St. Thomas Law School. He practiced transactional law in Michigan. His life was characterized by a great love of his family and many, many friends from all over the world, by his love of the mountains, his passion for golf, his deeply felt love for his home town of St. Paul, and his love of the Lord. His humor and ready smile were a great gift. His hope and resolve in the face of great obstacles was a ready testament to his depth of character. He was an overcomer. Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Tuesday, May 8, at the Church of St. Mark, 2001 Dayton Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 4-8PM Monday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul, 651-228-1006, and at Church one hour before the Mass.

    Andy was one of the most upbeat and friendly people I met in the Twin Cities climbing community. We quickly hit it off over our mutual love of the White Stripes and I was always happy to see him at the climbing gym and to joke around. He will be genuinely missed.
