Dennis Geoffrey Rogers February 18, 1948 - November 16, 2019

Dennis Geoffrey Rogers, age 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 16, 2019 in his home in Coon Rapids, Minnesota where he reunited with his wife, Kathleen, to celebrate their 46th wedding anniversary together in heaven.

Dennis was born in St. Paul on February 18, 1948 as the eldest son of Ralph and Lois Rogers.  He officially graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1966, but always felt his true loyalty belonged at Johnson High School where he spent most of his high school years.  Dennis earned his Bachelor’s in Arts in 1970 at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and earned a Master’s in Education in 1991.  In 1973, he married his best friend, Kathleen Tschida.   Dennis worked as a Respiratory Therapist, and then had a long career with the Anoka-Hennepin School District as a Social Studies teacher.  He started at Anoka High School in 1976, and retired at Champlin Park High School in 2005.  Dennis was a train enthusiast, loved boating down the Mississippi River, traveling, and attending the theater. Denny loved to laugh and to share his laughter.  The world will be a sadder place without him.
