William Anthony (Bill) LeMay, died 01/20/2022 at age 88 with his beloved wife, Janie, by his side. Bill lived his first years on the farm on LeMay Lake in Eagan. Growing up in St. Paul, he attended St. James Grade School and Cretin and Monroe high schools. He was an entrepreneur and had several businesses, always related to cars. Bill involved his family in his work and his host of projects, took his nine kids on outings and to car races at Donnybrooke and faithfully attended Catholic mass. He loved hosting family gatherings and washing and waxing cars, especially his Corvettes and Cadillacs. Loved reading the news, aviation magazines and his favorite automotive news. Enjoyed going to classic car auctions in California and attending Corvette shows and classic car shows. He was past president of the St. Paul Optimist Club and the Rotary club of St. Paul. Survived by his beloved wife, Janie, children Rene’ (Glen) Peterson, Cheri (Larry) Sheehan, Michelle, Marc, Dave (Sue), Jeff (Joyce), Paul (Valerie), Greg (Jan). and John LeMay, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; stepdaughters, Sara Ann Garvey, Amy (Mike) Wasik; step granddaughters, Christine and Jennifer Wasik, brother, Tony (Sandy), brother-in-law Terry Sullivan, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Tony LeMay; sisters, Shirley Lodahl, Marlene Sullivan, Gerrie LeMay; brother-in-law, Jerry Lodahl. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Wednesday (2/16) at the historic Church of St. Peter, 1405 Highway 13, Mendota, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to the mass. Interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
