Mr. Moynagh taught me to really love history. I will never forget how he taught us history. He taught us the why in history not just the how or what. Those classes stick with me today. When I visit a historical site, I remember his words. I will never forget after I graduated College I saw Mr. Moynagh at Como. I wanted him to know what an amazing teacher he was. Along with he was way better than my History Professor in College. Rest In Peace Mr. Moynagh thank you for following your purpose in life. Those of us who had the honor of being your students are very grateful.

Mr. Moynah was my history and basketball coach at Como Park high school. My greatest memories are of him emphasising we were females before athletes and his old school ways always as in his way tried to protect us from harm. He had us wear dresses on game day and didn’t let us participate in recess to insure we wouldn’t get injured before a game. In my later years his coaching always spilled into my later life with his belief that being a teammate was just as important as being a daughter. Thank you Jack Moynah and may you rest in peace

Mr. Moynagh was my basketball coach and teacher. I'm indebted to his influence on me, helping us believe we could accomplish more that we should have. I'll always remember us beating New Prague in the district semis, a team we had no business beating. Years later I ran into one of their players and he was still traumatized. I got to tell him about our coach, the one to whom we gave all the credit. I think it helped the poor guy move forward!

Jack was my coach for basketball and football at Murray. He was a firebrand and always got the most out of his players. His work with our defensive backs was a big reason we won the City championship in 1970.
