Obituary of Georgia Ruth Ales-Lynch

Georgia Ruth Ales-Lynch age 76 of West Saint Paul, born August 23, 1944. Passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2021. Georgia is preceded in death by parents, Daniel R. and Virginia, siblings David, Danny, Jeanne, Tim, Stephen and Debbie, beloved husband, Patrick J. Lynch, and daughter in law, Carie Ann Lynch. Georgia is survived by brothers Gary (Jean) Ales and Mark "Dino" Ales, and children, Colleen (Phil) Wege, Tim Lynch, and MÄ"gan (Christopher) Seebeck. Grammy will be missed by grandchildren Molly (Frank) Romano, Erin Lynch (Tyler Good), Gretchen Wege, Kevin Seebeck, Sarah Wege, Hannah Seebeck, and great grandsons Brayden Timothy Lynch and Brodie Frank Romano. Georgia spent her entire life in St. Paul. She was a true St. Paulite. Georgia attended St. Peter Claver Catholic Grade School, Central High School (1962), and the University of Minnesota. Georgia had a 25 year career at Regions Hospital as a staffing secretary in the Nursing department for all of the inpatient units. In the last few years Georgia worked part-time for the DFL up until the pandemic. Georgia was a lector at 4:30pm mass for many years at Nativity Catholic Church in St. Paul. Georgia enjoyed luncheons with her St. Peter Claver friends, monthly meetings with the Death Cafe, attending and watching baseball, softball, football, hockey and of course tennis games. Mom loved watching the Williams sisters (Serena and Venus), and she would get up in the middle of the night to watch the matches. Georgia enjoyed witty conversations on current events, reading, gardening and an occasional trip to the casino. By far Mom "Grammy" loved spending time at the family cabin. She loved to cook and always made sure that there was plenty to eat. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Georgia will be missed by all of her family and friends. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:30AM at Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church, 1938 Stanford Ave, St. Paul, MN. Visitation at church 1 hour prior to mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.
