Obituary of George Heimel

Age 84, of West St. Paul, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 7, 2014. 1948 graduate of Cretin High School. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane; children Paul, Tom, Mary, Fran (Greg) Rechtzigel, and Greg (Ann Marie); 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother Dr. Albert Heimel; and sister Fran Hinterthuer. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Friday at the Church of St. Joseph, 1154 Seminole Ave. at Butler, West St. Paul. Visitation 1 ½ hour before the Mass. Private burial at Resurrection Cemetery. George was a lover of people and a lover of life. Memorials preferred to The Guild or St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
