Obituary of Hugh J. Cosgrove

Beloved Husband, Father Grandfather and Great-grandfather Life-long resident of St. Paul. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 12, 2014. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Marion Cosgrove and sister, Helen Fiefarek. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jacquelone; children, Steven (Anne), Patricia Cosgrove (John Nepote), Greg (Patti), Dave (Debi); grandchildren, Sara, Sean, Bobby, Meghan, Danny, Molly, Katie, Kelly, Lauren, Alex and John; 4 great-grandchildren. Loving brother to Pat Salisbury, Ann Gjere, Agnes Smith, Sharon Cosgrove, Tim Cosgrove, Roberta Barger, Sheila Pedersen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Hugh J. Cosgrove, co-founded several law firms, including Cosgrove, Flynn & Gaskins, from which he retired in 1997. Hugh loved his family and all children's & grandchildren's activities. He attended the U of M and graduated from William Mitchell Law School and was one of William Mitchell's 100 Who Made a Difference. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 PM Wednesday at the CHURCH OF ST. PATRICK, 3535 72nd St. E., Inver Grove Heights. Private Interment. Visitation at church 1 hour prior to Mass. A special thanks for the wonderful care given by Dr. Tim Hernandez and the fabulous doctors and staff at St. Josephs Hospital. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Alums and Friends of St. Matthews School or William Mitchell College of Law.
