Obituary of Mary Ann Krammer Sievers

Mary Ann Krammer Sievers, of Mendota Heights beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, age 82 passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022.   Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Carl R. Sievers III, her parents Emil J. and Bernadette Krammer, and sister-in-law, Judy Krammer.  Survived by her daughters & their families: Cindy & Greg Johnson, Katherine, Lizzy, Caroline; Suzanne Thayer, Sam, Marie; Amy Votel, Mary, Luke; and brothers Bob Krammer, Ed Krammer (Eileen), nieces, nephews, cousins, & in-laws.  Mary Ann was born & raised in Mendota Heights. She graduated from St. Matthew's, St.Joseph's Academy and from the College of St. Catherine with a degree in Elementary Education and began her teaching career in ISD 197.  She raised her daughters then returned to teaching where she earned her special education certification at the U of MN and her master’s degree at the University of St. Thomas. She retired from a rewarding teaching career after years of service in the St. Paul Public School district where she helped many struggling youth.  With a beautiful, loving, and faith filled heart, she was a natural teacher who touched many lives in and out of the classroom. She was always gracious, loving, and generous. She adored her family, loved spending time gardening, sailing, & attending concerts with family & friends. She will be truly missed.  Celebration of life Thursday, May 26, 2022 with a visitation at 10am followed by mass at 11am at the Church of St. Peter, 1405 Hwy 13 Mendota, MN 55150. Private Interment to follow.  Masks optional.
