Obituary of Patrick R. Theiler

Patrick Roland Theiler, age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Wisconsin. He was doing what he loved, enjoying the sunshine and swimming with family. He was survived by his grandmother Leona Copeland, parents Roland (Melissa) and Debby (Steve), siblings Emily (Joel), Julie (Adam), and twins Roland Jr & Lauren. He will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends as well as nephews Brandon, Malik, James & Carson and niece Karina. His faithful dog Buju misses his best friend.

Pat grew up enjoying the cities & countryside of the Upper Midwest. He found true love at an early age: traveling. Moving to Montana at age 19 sparked a passion for meeting new people, exploring, and seeing nature that filled Pat's cup time and again. He's traveled to dozens of countries and never lost his wanderlust and free spirit. The outpouring of messages, phone calls and stories about Patrick from all over the world have sustained us in this painful time.

Pat loved music festivals, mountain country, road trips and disc golf as much as he loved the bright lights of Las Vegas, sushi, new shoes, & a fresh haircut. Anywhere he roamed but especially West 7th, his travels brought him to the friendliest local establishments he could find. Pat's varied interests brought so many people together and he always made sure to remember the little things to make people laugh. He was generous and lived large. Please remember Patrick as a world traveler, music lover, and a beast on the frolf course and in the poker room.

Patrick traveled to Paris seven total times to be tattooed by a world renowned dotwork artist, his good friend and mentor Lewis. Pat became very well known for his full bodysuit tattoo, winning competitions and magazine features far and wide. Pat's whole family is so proud of this artistic accomplishment and awestruck by Pat's dedication. He was a dog dad, a son, uncle, brother, friend and great love to so many. Honor him by playing your favorite Buju Banton song and enjoying a frosty pint of Summit. He will never be forgotten.

Patrick's celebration of life will be held at 1pm with a visitation directly followed by the Memorial Service at 2pm on Monday, 8/22/22, at Willwerscheid on Grand Avenue in St. Paul.
