Obituary of Doris Jeanette Forys

Doris Jeanette Forys, 95, of St. Paul died at her home on Friday September 16, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Doris was born on June 7, 1927 to Erwin and Louise (Elliott) Briese in Rochester, MN. She graduated from Macalester College in 1949. Doris was a member of the AAUW.

Doris was a lifelong knitter, and loved flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, E. Elliott Briese; her husband, Alois Forys; and stepson, Gerard Forys.

Doris is survived by her three children, Bruce (Virginia) Miller, Nancy (Richard) Rohland, and Deborah (Keith) Carlsten; grandchildren, Samuel (Carol) Miller, Nathaniel (Heidi) Miller, Ethan (Danielle) Miller, Michael (Angela) Miller, Theresajo Rohland, Rebecca (Andrew) Plunkett, Daniel (Heidi) Rohland, Benjamin (Adela) Carlsten, and Andrew Carlsten; 14 great-grandchildren; stepson, Tom Forys; step-granddaughter, Mariana Forys; and many other family and faithful friends.

Funeral Service 11AM Thursday, September 29 at Macalester Plymouth United Church, 1658 Lincoln Ave., St. Paul. Visitation 10AM at church.
