Obituary of Arlene Frances Nicklay

Nov 24, 1934 – Nov 22, 2022

Before a spectacular sunrise, Arlene Frances Nicklay was embraced in heaven by her daughter Michelle followed by her parents Sophie and Charles Maier, sister Dolores (Tom) Enright, brother Ed (Marcie) Maier, brother-in-law John Marceau and special nieces Patty Enright and Nuie Marceau.  Her dedicated husband of 63 years, Robert, along with their nine surviving children Renee (Al) Seran, Ann (Dan) Casper, Bobbi (Lon) Black, Jill (Todd) Englesgjerd, Marty (Kathy), Mark (Angela), Margaret (Brad) Messerschmidt, Mike (Rebecca) and Pat (Heidi) and the caring team at Walker Westwood enabled Arlene to live independently. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Donna Mae Marceau and so many wonderful Marceau, Maier, Enright, and Nicklay nieces and nephews. Arlene will be remembered for her abundant compassion for all people, especially the most vulnerable and her unabiding love of a wonderful bakery.  In lieu of gifts/flowers, go on and get yourself something nice.  Mom would be happy you did.  May a beautiful sunrise remind you of her.  Services are private.
