Donald Gene Latterell

June 2nd 1932 – February 4th 2023

Donald passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his Loved ones.  He was born in Saint Cloud, Minnesota to Robert & Lucylle (Winkelman) Latterell. He grew up and went to school in Saint Cloud. When he was 17 years old he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served 4 years of service as a flight engineer during the Korean War. After his 4 years of service he enlisted with the United States Air Force Reserves and at one point was called to duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from the reserves after 22 years of service along with Working for the United States Government as an inspector. In 1954 Donald married his pen pal Beverly Hampton they went on to raise 7 children,

They have 17 Grand children, 35 Great Grand children & 3 Great Great Grand children. After retirement they enjoyed many years of travel with the Mini Wheeler's motor home club seeing most of the United States.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 16th 2023 at Saint James Lutheran Church 460 Annapolis W, West Saint Paul M.N. Visitation at 9:00 a.m, Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Fort Snelling followed by a 2:00 p.m. celebration of life luncheon back at St. James Church.
