Obituary of Elias J. Peltier

Elias (Eli) James Peltier was born March 13, 1978. He passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2023 at 44 years old. He is preceded in death by his mother, Laurel Peltier. He is survived by his daughters, Breanna (Bre), Mila, Liliana (Lili); father, James (Jim) Peltier; sisters, Jessica Peltier and Ashley Peltier; nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. 

 

Eli grew up in West St. Paul, Minnesota. He was a proud service man and veteran of the U.S. Army. He served two tours in Iraq with Charlie Company 1/194 Combined Arms Battalion under the 34th ID. He lived in Hawaii from 2009-2015 where he made many close friends and hanai family.

 

Eli was an entrepreneur and adventurer who loved bird hunting, ice fishing, and boating. He enjoyed his family and friends, gatherings, and good food.  Between his Army service and his time in Hawaii, Eli touched and saved many lives. 

 

A Service will be held at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis on February 16th at 12:00pm for family and the Red Bull unit he served with. Details on Fort Snelling National Cemetery memorial after the service to follow. A Celebration of Life will be hosted at Chuggers Bar and Grill in Cannon Falls on Saturday, February 18th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and is open to all who wish to pay their respects.
