Arlene M. (Donahue) "DeDee" Champion age 84 died on January 24, 2022. Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our mother, Arlene "DeDee" from her long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She will be forever remembered for her Love of God and joy she had in family time. She was so proud of her Irish Heritage, and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating St. Patrick's Day in downtown St. Paul with a green beer. She had a passion for sewing, a gift for gardening, and canning. She was an old-fashioned homemaker with routines and schedules to keep everyone going in the right direction. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by beloved husband, Jerry. Survived by her children, Colleen Miller (Dean), Mary Jean Terhark (Mike), Patty Skarda (Jim), John Champion (Kristy), Joe Champion (Shari), Katie Haas (Steve); 10 grandchildren, Kevin Miller (Sarah), Casey Miller, Kelsey Miller (Brandon), Tom Terhark (Hannah), Jeannie Nelson (Drew), Nicholas Skarda (Chelsey), Alyssa Prideaux (Devon), Gina Champion (Andy), Julia Champion (Brett), Jovi Haas. 3 great-granddaughters, Jocelyn Terhark, Leyna Nelson, Penelope Prideaux; 2 brothers, 5 sisters and their families. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Monday, January 31st at the Church of St. Patrick of Saint Paul, 1095 DeSoto St., St. Paul, MN 55130. Interment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation 1 hour prior to the mass at church (9:30 -10:30am). Memorials preferred to the charity of your choice. Special thank you to Staff at Sunrise of Roseville Senior Living and Brighton Hospice.
