Obituary of Sandra Pearl Smith

Sandra Pearl (Heaseman) Smith, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother Of St. Paul, born on June 12, 1936, died: November 21, 2021 at the age of 85. Sandy loved travelling, reading historical novels, studying the history of the the British Monarchy, but most of all she loved her family. Preceded in death by parents Leonard and Pearl Heaseman; husband David C. Smith; daughter Deborah Neitz; and sister Susan Dowling. Survived by Daughter Linda (John, Jr.) Newman; grandchildren Angela (Ben) Terry, Christina (Sean) Guthrie, Shawn (Amanda) Neitz, Andrea Star, Laura Neitz; great-grandchildren Charleston, Anthony, Dominic, Ella, Alexandra, Louis, Kira, Kyle, Lauren, Paige, and Nolan; special nieces Katherine Dowling and Stephanie Cole; and much-loved furry friend Cleo. . Service 2:30PM Tuesday, November 30 at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul, 651-228-1006. Visitation 1 hour before the service. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The visitation and service will also be honoring the life John Newman's father, Jack Newman, who died on November 20, 2021. A reception will be held at the Pool and Yacht Club following the service.
