Obituary of Lavon L. Adams

Age 79, of West St. Paul 10/31/1936 to 4/4/2016 Grandma Lovie left us suddenly. She went the way she would have preferred with an unexpected heart attack. A long-time employee of Tape Mark Co. in West St. Paul, she would walk a short distance to start her day. Along with raising three children, she always found the time to help many others including relatives and friends. Late in life she considered herself lucky to have been blessed with two grandchildren whom she adored. She never missed anyone’s birthday and, of course, Christmas was a joy. Her other pleasures were anything Walt Disney including many trips to both Disney Land and Disney World. Preceded in death by her father, Clair Reed and mother, Lucille Nelson; step-father, Sgt. Mjr. Ole John Nelson; brother, Hartley Reed. Survived by her husband of 50 years, John; daughter, Jeanne Adams; son, Michael (Erin) Adams; step-son, Johnny Adams, Jr.; sister, Darlene (Robert) Moeller; grandchildren, Grace and Nolan; also many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service 11:00 AM Saturday, April 9 at Willwerscheid Natural Burial & Cremation, 235 W. Wentworth Ave., West St. Paul. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to any veteran organization.
