Obituary of Andrea Albrecht

September 14, 1948 – January 19, 2016 With her daughters by her side, Andrea passed away peacefully on January 19, 2016 from complications due to a disabling fall in November. Andrea is survived by her daughters, Allison Ferro of Pleasanton CA and Meghan Albrecht of Stowe VT; son-in-law, Stephen Ferro; grandchildren, Lucy and Gavin Ferro; mother, Nancy T. Field; brother, Litton Field Jr.; sisters, Taffy Mitchell, Cindy Tomb, Flopsy Farnham, K.C. Swanlund, and their families. She was preceded in death by her father Litton E. S. Field, Sr., and her numerous canine companions. Andrea was a life-long St. Paul resident, graduating from Convent of the Visitation School, Summit School, and Macalester College. In addition to being a devoted mother of her two daughters, she had a varied career path that included teaching special education, selling real estate, serving as an aide to a St. Paul city councilmember, and working as a neighborhood liaison at University of St. Thomas. As a dog lover, she was a member of the American Kennel Club with championship Border Terriers. In her free time, she enjoyed writing poetry, painting, sketching, playing tennis, and winning at Scrabble. Visits to Madeline Island always brought her great joy. Her adventurous, spirited nature and her sense of humor will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 4 – 7PM at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul. Family service and burial to be private.
