July 31, 1935 – January 11, 2016 Cretin class of 1953 Loving, devoted husband and father passed away suddenly. Survived by wife of 59 years, Agnes (Taube) Knipe; children, David (Cindy) Knipe, Mischelle Knipe, Tim Knipe, Donna Krause, Jim Knipe, Patty (Scott) Olson, and Dan (Carmela) Knipe; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Knipe; brother, Donald (Karen) Knipe; sister, Mary Lou Knipe. Retired 451st Army Band, Twin Cities Musicians Union member, drummer extraordinaire. Funeral Service 12:00 Noon Wednesday, January 20 at FORT SNELLING MEMORIAL CHAPEL Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul 4-7 PM Tuesday and at the chapel ½ hour prior to service.
