Obituary of Kathleen Mary Tschida Rogers

Was called back to God on January 1st 2016 at age 66. She died after an extended, gallant struggle fighting Pancreatic Cancer at her home in Red Wing, MN surrounded by family. Kathy was born on December 29th 1949 in Saint Paul to Leo A. and Alice Jeanette Tschida. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kelly Jeanette Rogers. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis G. Rogers, children, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Rogers, Jenni (Andrew) Kulseth and 6 grandchildren: Trina (18), Justin & Tyler (9) Rogers, and Aidan (6), Enna & Caelan (2) Kulseth; siblings, Janet (James) Stewart, Mary Patricia, Stephen, and Deborah Tschida. Also survived also by many family and friends. Kathy was a Neonatal ICU nurse for 30+ years at Children’s Hospital of Saint Paul. She attended Holy Childhood Elementary, Our Lady of Peace High School, and Saint Mary’s Junior College. Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6 at House of Hope Presbyterian Church 797 Summit Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55105. Visitation at Willwerscheid Funeral Home 4-7 PM Tuesday and at church 1 hour prior to service. Memorials preferred: House of Hope Presbyterian, Caring Bridge, or Children’s Hospital of Saint Paul.
