Obituary of Gloria A. Frias

Co-founder of Boca Chica Restaurante, Gloria Frias, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on her favorite day, December 12, 2015 — the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guillermo, parents, Arturo and Elvira Coronado and siblings Rita, Arturo, Rose and Carmen. She is survived by her children, Alfredo, Estevan (Lorraine), Eduardo (Patricia) and Cristela (William) Koski and grandchildren, Jesie (Robbie), Jenny (Krandell), Pepe (Brittany), Joey (Janet), Javier (Melinda), Marie and Ruben, and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Vera Velasquez and Aurora Bakke and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 4:30 - 8:30 pm Thursday, December 17 at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, (651-228-1006) with one hour additional visitation at 10 am on Friday at the church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Friday, December 18 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 401 Concord St., St. Paul. Gloria loved her church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church or the American Heart Association. Gloria was beloved by so many in the Westside community and her church. The family is grateful for the many customers of Boca Chica who have supported the Frias family and have shown love and support to Gloria over the years.
