Obituary of Clemmer Wait

Age, 82, of St. Paul Formerly of Granite Falls Passed away at home on December 8, 2015 Surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by parents, Maxwell and Nettie Wait, and brother, Myron. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie; devoted daughters, Shannon (John) Schmeling of Kauai,HI; Margot (Mitch) Boeke of White Bear Lake; Patricia (Rick) Jarman of Coer d'Alene, ID; and Grethe (Birt) Stem of Highlands Ranch, CO; 4 grandchildren, Andrea (Derek) Osborne, Max Boeke, Alex and Ashley Stem; 2 great-grandchildren, Otto and Blake, and his loving sister, Eloise Fredrickson of AZ. Played the tuba in both high school concert and marching bands. He was an avid scholar who took many courses beyond the Bachelor Degree in Mathematics he earned from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1956. He enjoyed classical music, literature, and steam engines. Clemmer and Bonnie raised their family in St. Paul where he worked as a technical writer. Because of his interest in local politics, he oftenvolunteered for local campaigns and worked at the local polling station. Memorial service Dec.17 at the Willwerscheid Chapel, 1167 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105 at 1 PM, with visitation 1 hour prior. A 2nd celebration of life at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls, Dec 19, at 2 PM, with visitation 1 hour prior.
