Obituary of Charlotte L. Winterer

Charlotte Louise (Charsy) Winterer, 95, died peacefully on Oct. 11, 2015. She was born in St. Paul on July 4, 1920, and died at Cerenity Senior Care Humboldt, her home on St. Paul's west side for the past 13 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and daughters Joanne and Betsy. She is survived by eight children, Judy (John) Prachar, Ginger Rayman, Jim Winterer, Cheryl (Marvin) Gerth, Tom (Neysa) Winterer, John (Beth) Winterer, Christine Houstman and Mark Winterer. She also is survived by sisters, Lois Hanson and Mary Lou Johnson, 32 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of St. Luke's Church and Choir, St. James Church and Midway Pro Bowl. Charlotte was a dedicated volunteer, blood donor and Twins fan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at , 650 Palace Ave., with burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before Mass; lunch, catered at her request by Yarusso's, will follow.
