Age 79, of St. Paul Died peacefully surrounded by family on May 26, 2015. Long-time manager of Dayton's River Room. Preceded in death by wife, Rosalie; parents, Melvin and Vida and brother, David C. Johnston. Survived by children, Julie (Sitiveni) Mafi, Tony (Lois), Pete (Mary) and Suzie (Eric) Gydesen; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of adoring extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Saturday, May 30 at the CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION, 51 W. 7th Street, St. Paul. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave. 2-7 PM Friday and at church 1 hour prior to Mass. Memorials Preferred.
