Obituary of Marshall H. Bixby

Age 72, of West St Paul Passed away on January 13, 2015 in Shakopee surrounded by loved ones. Marshall was born on January 23, 1942 in Hartford, CT to Rodney & Stella (LaBlanc) Bixby. Marshall served in the Marine Corps from 1959-1964. While in the Marine Corps he got to see many different countries and was a Guard at the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia. He had many different jobs until he transitioned into Truck Driving. His career spanned 40 plus years, driving for Midwest Motor Express, Roadway and finally for the U.S. Postal Service. Marshall was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, traveling, bowling, hanging out with his friends and family playing cards, and making cribbage boards. He was very proud of his four children and their accomplishments. He also enjoyed spending time with his 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Marshall is survived by sons, Ashley (Connie),and their children, Lauren, Nathan & Eric of New Prague, MN; Raymond and his children, Christi (Brad), Stephanie & Tami (Adam) of Chipley, FL; Daughters, Danette (Jeffery) Rodriquez and their children, Tristan & Peyton of Shakopee, MN; Tamara (Jason) Edwards and their children, Ben, Harley, Madison, Mercedes & Madelyn of Kennesaw, GA; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers Richard (Linda) Bixby & Lance (Jan) St Pierre. Visitation at Willwerscheid Natural Burial & Cremation, 235 W. Wentworth, West St. Paul 4-7 PM Monday, January 19, 2015 followed by a service from 7-8pm. Burial Fort Snelling National Cemetery 12:45pm, Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Meet at assembly area # 4.
