Obituary of Sister Susan Jane Neisen, CSJ

Age 71, of St. Paul. Died December 24, 2014. Entered the CSJ community in the fall of 1961. She was a teacher, nurse and AIDS hospice advocate. Her ministries included: Sarah's, and Oasis for Women, Dwelling in the Woods, Open Arms, St. Mary's Health Clinics. She asked to be remembered as a loving person. Preceded in death by grandparents; parents; brother, Steven; cousin, Terry Ohlsen. Survived by brothers, Tom (Marie), Rich, Mark (Jennifer), Doug (Laura); sister-in-law, Gen; sisters, Mary Mills (John) and Therese Van Nevel (Charles); numerous nieces and nephews; other family; friends; and her Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and Consociates. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Our Lady of the Presentation Chapel, 1880 Randolph Avenue, St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be sent the Ministries Foundation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
