Obituary of Harold Brunn

Age 95 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on 9/23/2014. Harold attended Gustavus Adolphus and graduated cum laude from the U of M. Following graduation, he entered the Navy and attended Midshipmen School at Notre Dame, later serving with Admiral Nimitz in Pearl Harbor on the command staff of the Pacific Fleet. After WWII, he attended U of M Law School and led the Minnesota Medical Association for 32 years as CEO. He served on numerous boards and was President of the American Assn. of Medical Society Executives and PCMA. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Dougherty) and 6 children: Elizabeth Tucker, Jill (Bill) Menk, Barbara (Dan) Theis, Brent (Kristine), Brad (Tracy) and Brian (Mary) Brunn, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Thank you to the staff of the VA Medical Center, Shalom Home and Golden Living Center for their care of "Mr. B". He will be remembered for his keen intellect, quick wit, sense of humor, kind nature and love of family. Visitation 4-7PM Sunday, 9/28 at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul, 651-228-1006. Memorial Service Monday, 9/29 at 10AM. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the St. Paul Optimist Club or Alzheimer's Association.
