Obituary of Sister Doris Taylor, CSJ

Died at Carondelet Village on Sunday, June 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Peggy Gracek Taylor and her brother. Sister Doris spent over 40 years teaching first through 8th grade specializing in her later years as an art teacher. She also served as Assistant Principal at Nativity School, St. Paul, for over ten years. When she retired from teaching she became the building manager for St. Joseph's Administration Center. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Weedal; nephews; her close friends, Dr. Chris and Jan Foley and family; cousins and friends; the sisters of St. Joseph and Consociates; and her caregivers. A wake will be held on Friday, June 20 from 10:30 – 11:30AM at Carondelet Village Chapel, 525 S. Fairview Ave., St. Paul, MN, with the funeral liturgy following at 11:30AM. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery will follow lunch. Memorials may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 1884 Randolph Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55105.
