Obituary of Louise Morrison

age 91, born in South Dakota on July 8, 1922, Louise passed away at The Alton in St. Paul, MN just a month shy of her 92nd birthday. She is preceded in death by husband Dr. John Morrison in 2009; parents, Thomas and Grace Phillips; sisters Gertrude Reick, Ruth Draper and Gracie Phillips; and brother Tom Phillips. She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephew: Julia Cadwalader, Margaret Weaver and Sara Kerr of AZ; Gwen Reick, Marilyn Warwick and Wayne Reick of IA; many grand nieces and nephews; and brother in law, Robert Morrison of CA. Very proud of her Welsh heritage, Louise left Deep River, Iowa for New York City to be an opera singer and it was there she met her husband John. They traveled extensively internationally and were particularly supportive of the Cambodian Community. We are very grateful to The Alton and Our Lady of Peace Hospice for the exceptional care they gave Louise. Memorial service 11AM Friday, June 13 at Messiah Episcopal Church, 1631 Ford Pkwy, St Paul, MN. Family will meet with friends ½ hour before the service. Burial will precede services at 9:00AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Lane #1.
