Obituary of Edward Hinderer

84 years old, formerly of Shoreview. Passed away on May 27, 2014. Survived by his wife of 63 years Lenore, children Linda (James) Grafstrom, Laura (Carroll Gonzo) Hamilton, Steve (Norma), Bill (Kathy), Harry (Sara), Bridget (Dewey) Berglund, Joe (Jeanna), nephew Bob Davis, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister Margaret Murnane; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by sisters by Katie Schwab, Mary Routzahn, Louise Woulfe and Irene Geraghty. Visitation 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave, St Paul and also at church one half hour prior to Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at St Thomas More, 1079 Summit Ave, St Paul. Private burial at Ft Snelling National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association. After proudly serving in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army, 1St Cavalry Division, he was an award winning grocery store manager before retiring from Rainbow Foods in 1994. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, children and sisters. Ed was a loving husband who cared deeply about his immediate and extended family. "When someone you lose becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure". Friends and family are welcome to share memories of Ed at the Visitation at 7:30 PM.
