Obituary of Lois M. Waldron

(McKenzie) Age 86, of St. Paul Into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by family on February 14, 2014. The family knows she will spend an eternity of Valentines with the love of her life Jerry of 54 years. Preceded in death by husband, Jerry and grandson David Luke. Survived by children, Gary (Nancy), Matt (Lori), Mary Lou (Steve) Halverson, Peggy (Mike) Mooney, Mark and John; grandchildren, Emily, Joey, Alan, Tim, Pat, Shelly, Chris (fiancé Britni), Michael, Richard and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Leo and Ariana; siblings, Marlene (Earl) Powell and Donald (Yvonne) McKenzie. Lois was born in superior WI and as an infant, with her parents, moved to St. Paul. She attended The Cathedral Grade School and St. Josephs Academy, graduating class of 1945. She achieved an Associate's degree in 1984; worked for the City of St. Paul Parks & Recreation and retired in 1989. She was a member of the Guild of Catholic Women, St. Paul Serra Club, Red Hatters, was a Eucharistic Adorer for Nativity of Our Lord Church, a volunteer for a pro-life organization, Cradle of Hope, and at Little Sisters of the Poor. Lois and Jerry raised their children with strong Catholic Values and modeled a faith-filled life and service to God. In 1967 Jerry and Lois purchased a lake cabin in WI, which has been an oasis of fun and peace. The many who visited the cabin knew it was the Waldron's, "For The Good Times". Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 Wednesday at the CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION, 51 West 7th St., Saint Paul. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul. Lois‘s family is very appreciative of the warm and dedicated care given to Lois from Dr. Corbett, Nurse Lori and all the staff at Good Samaritan, IGH. Memorials to St. Josephs Academy Alumnae, Cradle of Hope, or Little Sisters of the Poor.
