Obituary of Katherine Kay

Kay, Katherine A. "Kay Kay" Nee Kueppers Age 83, of St. Paul Saint Joseph's Academy - class of ‘48 Passed away peacefully Saturday, January 11, 2014 after a courageous, yet brief battle with cancer. Kay was preceded in death by beloved husband, Ted and sister-in-law, Laura. Loving mother of Rita (John) Saumweber, Betty, Bill, Kathy Baerthel, Greg (Lori), Timothy, Kelley (Carl) Feller and David (Krista). Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-granddaughters; brothers, George, Jim (Irene) and Tom (Ginger); other relatives and many, many friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday at the CHURCH OF ST. THOMAS MORE, 1079 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Listening House, Our Lady of Peace Cancer Home or donor's choice. Special thanks to the Oncology Unit staff at United hospital for their exceptional care of mom and our family. Mom faced her cancer diagnosis with courage and determination. Her motto was "straight ahead, no detours!"
