Obituary of Jeanne M. Schaitberger

Jeanne Marie (Stenslie) Schaitberger

age 78, of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully in Lilydale on December 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by husband Hubert “Bud” Schaitberger Jr., parents Ivar and Solveig Stenslie; sister Judith Youngquist; and brother Richard Stenslie. Jeanne is survived by her daughter Christine Guyott and son Charlie Schaitberger (Karla); grandchildren Max, Mostyn, Nolan and Luke; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Jeanne was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. All who knew her remember her kindness, strength, and faith. Jeanne was a graduate of Henry High School, where she had many friends and was voted “Most Mischievous.” Jeanne met the love of her life, Bud, in 1966, then moved from Minneapolis to Ithaca, New York, where they welcomed their daughter Christine. Three years later, they returned to the Twin Cities, where their son Charlie was born. They enjoyed raising their family near their parents. Jeanne was excellent with numbers and administration, skills she used to support the businesses she co-owned with Bud. She was dedicated to watching her family’s sporting events, and never wanted to miss a game. But most of all she loved being up North - their second home on Lake Winnibigoshish was her favorite place to be. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Friday, January 13, 2023, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church (1575 Charlton Street, West Saint Paul). Visitation at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. Service, and luncheon to follow. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
