Obituary of Ann Yvonne Bos

Ann Yvonne (Reicher) Bos passed away on June 3, 2023.  Born May 17, 1935, in Osseo, WI.  She lived for a short time in Fergus Falls, MN and then moved with her family to St. Paul, where she attended Holy Spirit Elementary School and eventually graduated from St. Joseph Academy.  Her family's Palace Ave. home in St. Paul was just down the street from that of her future husband, Edward Melin, who became an electrical engineer with Univac.  Ann herself was employed as a stenographer for the state of Minnesota.

They were married. in 1956 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and eventually settled in West St. Paul to raise their children:  Steven, Annette, Thomas, and David.  Ed's untimely death from cancer in 1976 left Ann alone to parent their 4 children, who by that time ranged in age from 9-19.  She rose to the task and became an active, competent, and well-liked member of her neighborhood and wider community.  She managed to aid and encourage her children through their years of high school and also higher education.  Eventually, she lived to be the proud and loving "Grammy" of 7 grandchildren.

Along the way, Ann met Donald Bos, a long-time Burlington Northern employee stationed in St. Paul, who, she always said, "impressed her with his dancing skill."  They married in 1980 and made their home for many years in Inver Grove Heights.  For health reasons, they moved 2 years ago to live at New Perspective in Eagan.  Don presently survives Ann.

Ann's wishes were for only a private family service.  Arrangements for her cremation and interment at Resurrection Cemetery are by Willwerscheid Funeral Home, West St. Paul.
