Beverly Chlebeck

Obituary of Beverly J. Chlebeck

Beverly J. Chlebeck, 88, of Inver Grove Heights, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17th with her family by her side. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Bev was born on September 27, 1934 in St. Paul, MN. She graduated from South St. Paul High School. Larry and Bev married on June 30, 1956. His job took his family to five different states while the kids were all under the age of ten. Bev was always up to the challenge and made each place feel like home.

Bev loved traveling, whether up to the cabin, on a cruise, celebrating a grandchild’s birthday with a trip, or with her girls in a different city every year.

Bev was an extraordinary role model for her kids and grandkids. She was thoughtful, caring, and had a kind heart to all those around her, especially her children's friends, who considered her to be their second mom. She had a strong commitment to her family.

With her friend Phyllis, Bev was very active in the Girl Scout Council for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, bingo, and almost all card games (she was a shark). She loved sports, especially the WILD, and was an avid book reader.

There was nobody quite like her. It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. We love you mom.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Bernice Melville; husband, Lawrence; brother, Bill; and son-in-law, Dave.

She is survived by her children, Lawrence (Jo), Kathy, Karen, and Steven; grandchildren, Amber (Kevin), Jennifer (Rick), Rachael (Chris), David, Larry, Michael (Alexis), Alexandra, Lauren, Duncan, and Margaret; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Oscar, Gretta, Jackson, Emil, Olive, Santino, Remy, and Hazel; sister, Marlene; sisters-in-law, Barb and Judy; nieces and nephews; good friends, Phyllis, Joan, and Jeanne; bingo friends, and the community of Timber Hills.
