In Loving Memory of Dorothy Hart Fabian (1932-2023)

St. Paul, MN - Dorothy Fabian, a beloved mother, Nana, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 29, 2023, at the age of 91. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dorothy was born on May 4, 1932, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she grew up in a loving family, instilled with strong values and a deep sense of community. Dorothy carried those values throughout her life, making her an exceptional role model for her children, grandchildren, and all who had the fortune of crossing her path.

On the beautiful day of June 29th Dorothy married the love of her life, Ferdinand Wilmo Fabian. Together, they built a wonderful life filled with love, joy, and countless cherished memories. Ferdinand passed away in 2016, leaving behind a void that Dorothy carried in her heart until her last breath. It is a lovely blessing that Dorothy was called to heaven on their 60th wedding anniversary. We are sure Ferdinand had a spot all fixed up for her, just waitin'.

Dorothy was a devoted mother to her four children: Eileen, Kathleen (Michael), John (Leah), and Paul (Tere). Her nurturing and compassionate nature created a warm and welcoming home, where her children and most of the neighborhood kids flourished under her loving care. Dorothy's children will forever be grateful for the incredible love and devotion.

Being a Nana was one of Dorothy's greatest joys in life. She adored her ten grandchildren (Alex, Jenni (Malik), Katie, Colin, Jojo, Liam, Maria, Amanda, Rochelle, Jordan, and four great grandchildren Avery, Charlie, Eli and Emma. Dorothy's presence in their lives was a source of comfort and inspiration. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever be carried in the hearts of her grandchildren.

Dorothy's warm and welcoming nature extended beyond her family. She was actively involved in her community, always lending a helping hand serving food at Dorothy Day for over 40 years and spreading joy as a Powder Puff Clown. Dorothy had a heart full of compassion and a genuine interest in others' well-being as an emergency room and Red Cross nurse. She made a positive impact on countless lives and will be remembered for her selflessness and unwavering kindness.

While we mourn the loss of Dorothy, let us also celebrate her remarkable life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. Dorothy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the honor of knowing her.
