Obituary of Marilyn K. Olin

Marilyn K Olin (Young) Mendota Heights 92

September 2nd, 2023 Marilyn K Olin (Young) was promoted to glory, peacefully surrounded by family.

Marilyn’s passion in life was her faith, her son David, her family, and rosemaling. She was a renowned painter, teaching courses in rosemaling and traveling to Norway to work with other prominent artists in the field. Her pieces earned many awards including a Gold Medal from the Vesterheim Museum (Decorah IA).

Marilyn was a world traveler and spent her winters in Arizona. But her heart of hearts was her devotion to her two granddaughters Carly and Renee and her great-granddaughter Mira. Nothing made her smile more than to be with them.

“Love you to the moon and back.”
