Allen Jacobs

Obituary of Allen Victor Jacobs

Loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Allen Jacobs entered eternal life on September 10, 2023, with family by his side.

He is survived by wife, Sondra, sons Anthony (Lori) and Matthew (Mary). Survived by grandsons Ricki Johns (Lindsay), Skyler Jacobs, Austin Jacobs, Jackson Jacobs, William Jacobs and granddaughter, Alexis Jacobs and bonus grandson Elijah Rosillo. Also survived by  great grandchildren Chloe, Peyton and Dawson Johns, brother Charles and sister Janet Jacobs, relatives and friends.

Al loved his family and gained great joy by watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed watching the MN Gophers and Vikings with family. He loved all art, but his greatest passion was painting and creating abstract art. He also took his artistic abilities to his home and yard where he made artistic updates. His interest in Japanese Bonsai resulted in beautiful landscapes.

Al was employed for over 28 years at Ecolab where he performed a variety of duties. He retired at age 55 to pursue his art career.

Al had a broad worldview and easily related to everyone. He could be counted on as a compassionate listening ear and wanted to spread happiness amongst all he met. Our memories of a kind, gentle man will ease our loss and we are comforted knowing his pain and suffering have ceased. His love will live on in all of us.

The family would like to thank the Grace Hospice staff and Barbara Higgs and Dennis Nagel for their loving care.

The family is requesting that rather than floral arrangements, a memorial gift be given in remembrance to Ramsey County Humane Society or Twin Cities Salvation Army.
