Sympathies to Mary Blanche, Kenny, Mira and family, my family. Sorry for your loss. The picture on this obituary is how I'll always remember Uncle Marc, smiling and I never knew what was going to come out of his mouth after he said "Linda Jean". When we moved to Memphis from Chicago years ago, I'll never forget Uncle Marc coming over to tell all of us goodbye. He looked at all of us with that smile and twinkle in his eyes that he always had, as if he would never see us again. I'll never forget that and how nice he was to us. We ended up seeing each other again but I will never forget that last visit in Chicago. He lived a long and purposeful life and I hope he knew what affect he had on a lot of peoples lives. He looked at peace on the last photo I saw of him and I hope he is resting in peace.
~Let us all remember, when our faith is running low, Christ is more than just a figure wrapped in an ethereal glow. For he came and dwelled among us and He knows our every need, and He loves and understands us and forgives our sinful deed. He was crucified and buried and rose again in glory, and the Savior's resurrection makes the wondrous Easter story. An abiding reassurance that man dies to live again. In a land that's free from trouble where there's peace among all men.~

Thank you, Linda, for that heartfelt tribute to Marc! He was just as you describe him. A few days before he passed, he was joking around, making us laugh, and I said to him, “ You’re a character, and he said without even thinking, “I always was.” Oh how I miss him.

Uncle Marcus was a wonderful Uncle and role model for success in many ways. He conducted himself with integrity and professionalism in business and service throughout his illustrious career.
However, it is the way he loved, protected, enjoyed and deeply cared for his family, especially his dear Wife- Aunt Mary and his two children Kenny and Mira that stand out most to me. The joy in his voice when he spoke about his grandchildren still brings a smile to my face.
He was a wonderful man. He will be very much missed, but never forgotten.
Peace and Blessings,
Kimberlee Hendricks (Niece)
