Obituary of Robert B Vekich

Robert (Bob) Vekich passed away in the comfort of his home and with his family on December 6. He was a beloved husband, incredible father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Bob was born in Nashwauk, MN. He enjoyed all of the high school sports lettering in football, basketball, and track and field.

After college at the University of Colorado Denver, he lived in New York City. Wanting to be closer to family, he moved back to the Twin Cities where he lived most of his life. His career was spent in advertising then international marketing. Bob loved to travel for both business and pleasure treating his wife and daughter to visiting his special places.

Bob was an enthusiastic storyteller, an avid gardener, and loved to cook. His favorite time in later years was spent with his daughter Alexandra, her children, Luka and Lucia, and their Nana, his spouse, Catherine.

In addition to being survived by Catherine, Alex Luka, and Lucia are his sister, Mary Ann and brother Michael as well as many nieces and nephews.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Services will be on Tuesday, December 12 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church at 956 Forest St North, Saint Paul with Visitation from 10 -11 AM, Funeral Service at 11 AM, and Luncheon celebrating Bob’s life at Archangel Michael Hall - directly across from the church.
