Wayne Taylor

Obituary of Wayne Ralph Taylor

Wayne Taylor, 89, of Eagan passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Vera, his son Randy and his daughter Kristen.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughter Jill (Scott), brother Mark (Carol), granddaughter Ali (George IV, George V and Joanna), grandson Sam, and many other loving relatives.

Wayne grew up in his beloved Bluffton, Iowa with his 7 siblings.  He met his wife of 66 years, Joyce, in high school in Decorah, Iowa.  After marriage, they settled in Inver Grove Heights to raise their family.  Wayne’s career spanned 40 years in the hardware business working for Farwell Ozmun and Kirk Co. (FOK).  Wayne loved to tell stories about growing up in Bluffton and his humble beginnings, the wonderful hunting, fishing and golf trips he would take with family and friends, and always seemed to have a “one-liner” to bring a smile to everyone’s face.  He was a loyal and helpful friend and neighbor.  Most of all, he loved spending time together as a family.  He will be deeply missed.
