Obituary of Jack Schmidt

John William Schmidt Jr. “Jack”, age 79,  passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on January 22, 2024 in Mendota Heights, MN.

Born to John W. Schmidt Sr. and Theresa Schmidt (Lindl) on April 1, 1944.

Jack spent his career working for NSP for 35 years, Where he retired as a Supervisor at the age of 55 due to the “rule of 90”. This made him a very proud man!

Jack is preceded in death by his father John William Schmidt Sr.; his mother Theresa Schmidt (Lindl); and his brother Ronny.

He is survived by his loving wife Debra; Daughters Jackie and Jody Schmidt; sons John Schmidt, Tony (Kelly) Schmidt, Erich (Danielle) Schmidt, Step Son Andy (Jenn) Hodgson; Step Daughter Jenae (Toby) Palewicz;

A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery at a later date; where Jack will be laid to rest with his beloved father, mother, and brother Ronny.
